From James: I hope you might be interested to hear about my new book – The Men Who Created Winnie-the-Pooh – The Lives of A A Milne and E H Shepard, which has just been published. I have been working on this for the past four years, so it is exciting to see it finally out in bookshops.

I am currently doing the now obligatory promotional round – second level literary and book festivals, local radio and obscure podcasts, articles in publications I have never heard of, and interviews by people who have clearly not read the book – and in the case of America, at highly inconvenient times.  However, the response has been encouraging, sometimes even thoughtful!

I like to think you will have a look, if nothing else out of curiosity to see if I have fallen flat on my face. If you like what you see – and obviously I hope that you do – you can get the book at any decent bookstore and online – I always recommend www.bookshop.org, as this site supports local independent booksellers. It’s on Amazon too.

If you would like a signed copy (or copies – it has been suggested that the book would make an excellent Christmas present, so why not kill two birds with one stone – get ahead of your Christmas shopping and help me out..!) at a 10% discount – even better – then simply email the excellent Caper Books – info@caper.fun – who will send you signed copies at a 10% discount on the cover price with free delivery.  What’s not to like…

And do tell friends and family – word of mouth is always the most effective recommendation! Many thanks.
