A talk about the inspiration behind her series of three Dutch Girl books, completed now with The Wartime Nurse.

Imogen writes: ‘The Dutch Girl Series came about after I read the true stories of three young Dutch women aged 14-19,  who became key active members of the Resistance. They banded together to take terrifying direct action against the Nazis and their collaborators. The breath-taking courage they demonstrated was unprecedented, for this was highly unusual behaviour for women, let alone teenagers. Even though my novels are fiction, I hope to do justice to these three incredible inspiring women whose legacy lives on in the hearts of so many Dutch people today.’
