Tuesday 6 May, 5.30-6.30
MGA Lecture Room, St Hugh’s College, St Margaret’s Road, OX2 6LE
Two ex St Hugh’s students discuss their first novels, chaired by Professor Nick Perkins, Tutorial Fellow in English. Seth Insua is an Anglo-Spanish writer whose novel, Human, Animal, tangles with animal rights. Han Smith is an adult literacy teacher whose novel, Portraits at the Palace of Creativity and Wrecking, follows the fragmented story of a young almost-woman growing up in the shadow of a former prison camp in a country that has failed to confront its brutal past.
Free to everyone, but reserve a place at Blackbaud.
