Friday 4 October, 10.30-12.30
Rose Hill is an Oxford suburb of surprising contrasts and great historical interest. It was first settled in the Early Iron Age, then attracted well-to-do residents in the late 1700s, its elevated position giving it “one of the most beautiful [views] in the world” over the towers and spires of the city.
Meet outside Iffley Dental Care, 2 Rose Hill (opposite the junction between Rose Hill and Church Cowley Road). Buses 3, 3A, or X40 take you to Iffley Turn stop. Our finishing place is Rose Hill Community Centre cafe, or else lunch in Iffley Village. Sign up with events@writersinoxford.org.
